Bridge Named For Longtime Local Educator
The many contributions of a longtime local educator were recognized by the Lawrence County Board of Commissioners during a meeting Tuesday when members voted to name a bridge in his honor.
The matter was brought before the commission during a regular session Tuesday evening. The resolution was sponsored by Commissioners Chris Jackson and Larry Glass.
Commissioners voted unanimously to approve the resolution to name a bridge in the West Point area after Ted A. Kimbrell. The bridge crosses Factory Creek on West Point Road, just north of the Collinwood Road intersection.
